ICT FACILITIES
We firmly believe in the appropriate use of ICT to extend and enhance Teaching and Learning at Cwmtawe. To this end, we invest heavily in developing our ICT facilities and the skills of our staff each year.
 ICT Suites
We have eleven fully equipped ICT suites strategically located across the school site, each of which can cater for between 20 and 30 students at a time. Every suite is equipped with a data projector and colour and mono printing.
These facilities are used extensively by all subject areas and are instrumental in our ongoing quest to develop pupils' skills across the curriculum.
 Interactive Whiteboards and Data Projectors
Every registration room across the school is equipped with a data projector. These are utilised during registration periods and PSHE lessons to develop key skills such as literacy and numeracy. In addition, every room in our Maths, English, Science, Vocational, Languages and Humanities faculties have ceiling mounted data projectors as are most rooms in all other departments. We also have a 10ft (3m) display with 'surround sound' in our school hall which is used for powerful and engaging school assemblies.
SIMS Lesson Registration
All our classrooms are equipped with a desktop PC to facilitate our lesson-by-lesson registration system. This allows us to quickly identify individual pupils that do no attend and take appropriate action. The system helps us maintain one of the lowest unauthorised absence rates in Wales.
